After Kangana Ranaut’s Dhaakad flopped, the makers had to sell their office? Makers said this big Thing

The action film ‘Dhaakad’ directed by Rajneesh Ghai was released in theaters on 20 May this year. The film starred Kangana Ranaut, Shashwat Chatterjee, Arjun Rampal and Divya Dutta in lead roles. The film is produced by Deepak and Sohail Maklai. According to some reports, the film performed poorly at the box office, not even crossing the ₹10 crore mark at the box office. After this there were reports that producer Deepak has sold his office to clear the dues.

Now the reaction of the filmmaker has come out on this. Speaking to The Indian Express, Deepak said, “These are baseless rumors and absolutely false. I have already recovered maximum damages and whatever is left will be recovered in time.”

Speaking about the film’s performance at the box office, he said, “We made Dhaakad with a lot of conviction and it was a very well made film. I don’t know what went wrong, but believe me.” I would like it to be people’s choice what they accept and what they don’t and what they want to see. But according to us, we take pride in creating a genre that is a good, female-oriented detective action thriller.

flop at box office

Dhakad saw a slow start at the box office and according to trade analyst Ramesh Bala, the film earned 50 lakhs on the first day. “Preliminary estimate for Dhakad All India Day 1 is ₹50 lakh net,” he tweeted.

After Dhaakad failed at the box office, Kangana defended herself. He wrote on his Instagram stories, ‘2019 I gave a superhit of 160 crores to Manikarnika, 2020 was the year of Kovid. 2021 I gave the biggest film of my career, Thalaivi, which came on OTT and was a huge success. I see a lot of negativity but 2020 is the year of blockbuster locked up hosting. And it’s not over yet… I have high hopes for it.”
